Rule Creation Form
The Rule Creation Form in Deliverlitics allows you to define all the necessary details to set up your custom rules. Each section of the form is designed to guide you through the process efficiently.

Form Sections
1. Applies When
This section defines the trigger for your rule. You specify the entity and tag that will activate the rule. Also, you have to type a Rule Name.
- Entity Selection: Choose between Order or Customer to determine which type of entity the rule applies to.
- **Tag Selection:**Use Deliverlitics Tags to trigger rules. You can also use Custom Tags by entering your desired tag manually.

For example, you could configure the rule to trigger when an Order receives the DLTX_Risk:High
tag from Deliverlitics.

2. Action
In this section, you define what happens when the rule's conditions are met. Actions vary depending on the selected entity:
- Orders: Options include canceling the order or placing it on hold.
- Customers: Options include blocking the customer, putting future orders from the customer on hold, or sending a free shipping coupon.

Retroactive Application:
You can choose to apply the action retroactively. For example, if you’re sending free shipping coupons to customers with VIP
tag, this option ensures the rule applies to customers already tagged as VIP
.

3. Applies To
This section refines the scope of the rule, allowing you to:
- Exclude specific customers based on tags (e.g., exclude customers with the tag
wholesale
). - Include only specific customers with certain tags to ensure precise targeting.

4. Additional Configuration (Conditional)
Depending on the selected action, a fourth section may appear to configure additional details.
For example, if you choose send free shipping coupon
action, you'll configure how the coupon is delivered.
You can select a service like Klaviyo or Sendlane and specify the audience for the notification.

Rule Summary
At the bottom of the form, a summary box provides a clear and concise description of the rule you’re about to create. This ensures you can review and verify all configurations before finalizing. For example:

At the bottom of the form, you'll find the Save Rule button. Click this button to save your rule and activate it in the system. Your rule will be ready to automate processes in your Shopify store!
